South siren Asin Thottumkal runs a school for the underprivileged and orphans in Kerala, the state she hails from. The school provides education to nearly a 100 children.

While the actress has never talked about it, her do-gooder side became known when she invited a few of her co-stars to come to the school and interact with the children.

Director Anees Bazmee has denied rumours that his forthcoming film Ready includes a steamy sequence between leading stars Salman Khan and Asin.

“I don’t know where these rumours came from. There is no steamy sequence between Salman and Asin in Ready,” Bazmee told PTI.

The director insisted that the film is squeaky clean and has no such scene which might make it unfit for family viewing.

“I don’t make films which I can’t watch with my own family. Look at any of my films so far, they can be seen comfortably without worrying that anything untoward may come on screen,” said Bazmee.

Salman Khan’s first 2011 release – Anees Bazmi directed comedy drama Ready, with co-star Asin – will hit theaters on June 3.

The film was earlier slated for release on May 27, 2011, which was also the release date for Farhan Akhtar produced Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, starring Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Katrina Kaif.

Ready is a remake of the similarly titled 2008 Telugu film directed by Sreenu Vaitla, starring Ram and Genelia.

The film is expected to recreate the magic of No Entry (2005) in which Salman and Anees last worked together.

Now, our sincere apologies for using this slang term but by ‘Rascals’, the intention is to address the team of the upcoming David Dhawan film ‘Rascals’ that includes Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Kangana Ranaut.
Salman’s allegiance towards David Dhawan is a well known fact. And when Salman requested the team of ‘Rascals’ to do a cameo in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Ready’, then they instantly agreed.

Asin needs to look too hot in the movie and for that Sajid has asked her to sport a swimsuit. The movie will be shot in the exotic locales of Italyand Greece. It will also have some beach scenes.

Recently Asin was included in the list of probable actress to romance with Rajinikanth in Raana. She and Deepika Padukone are expected to be cast in lead roles since both are known faces in Bollywood and can fit into the Hindi version of the trilingual film well.

Asin, like Deepika Padukone, may ditch Akshay Kumar for Rajinikanth…

It is common knowledge that Deepika Padukone opted out of the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Housefull 2′ to be a part of Rajinikanth’s ‘Rana’. Asin, was then cast as the lead heroine opposite Akshay Kumar, but it seems, she will soon follow in Deepika’s footsteps. Talks have it that Asin, too, has been approached to be a part of the same film – ‘Rana’, which is to release in three versions – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Popular South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal is reportedly back in the team of Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s forthcoming movie Rana, which will be directed by Dashavatharam fame KS Ravikumar. If sources are to believe, the actress will play the second heroine in the movie.

According to reliable sources, South Indian beauty Asin has been approached by the makers of South Indian superstar Rajinikanth’s next film Rana to be directed by K.S. Ravikumar under the banner of Eros International and Chennai based Ocher Studios.

The sources said even a one-line summary of the script has been narrated to the actress and she is keen to team up with the super star, since the script fascinates her and the film has A.R. Rahman composing the tracks. Notably, Asin had worked with Ravikumar earlier in Varalaru.

Are Asin and Venkatesh going to team up again? They have paired up in Gharshana movie and the chemistry between them has been the highlight of it. Now the film nagar buzz says that Asin is likely to pair up with Venkatesh in Savitri movie under Teja direction.

Venkatesh has lit green to Teja’s script long back but they didn’t get a suitable lead lady to portray the title role in Savitri. Nayanthara was approached for it but the actress rejected the offer due to personal reasons. Later Trisha was considered but not approached by the makers.
