Asin Thottumkal is a big name down south and she belongs to Kerala. she was born on 26th October 1985. Asin made her debut with Sathyan Anthikkad’s Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka, which was released in 2001.

Asin tasted firs success as an actor with her film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, for which she also won the Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress.

Asin Thottumkal came to become a Bollywood raze after her successful debut with Aamir Khan in Ghajini. She also received the South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Tamil film, Ghajini, which was released in 2005.

The “London Dreams” team came to New York City to promote Vipul Shah’s new musical movie the other day and DesiHits.com made sure to attend the press conference to get the low-down on the film that will hit theaters at the end of the month.

Well, technically speaking, Asin, Salman Khan and Vipul Shah were all in Mumbai while the press conference was held in New York City, but we were able to talk to them via video!

Ever since she shot to fame with the success of Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan Asin has been packed with movies, endorsements and interviews.

Since all this happened just two days prior to her birthday on Oct 24, she was happy to be resting at home on her birthday.

Asin knows the art of being patient. Quite literally we mean. Asin, who got operated on sinus recently, dealt with ordeal very patiently. The problem occurred because of the long shooting spells in extreme weather conditions in London.

“Asin had been suffering sinus since quite sometime. She was shooting in London for LONDON DREAMS. The weather conditions worsened the situation. She had to be admitted to Dhriubhai Ambani Hospital where she underwent an operation for sinus.”

But the staff there vouches for Asin’s patience and friendly nature.

At a time when even established actresses are resorting to skin show to grab big deals and projects, Asin, the new comer from South, is very particular about the fact that she will never go for roles which demand vulgarity and exposing.
“I would never do something that is baseless, vulgar and indecent… something I am not comfortable doing and therefore can’t do justice with,” Asin said.

She also added that her criteria for selecting films include script, role, director, producer and then co-artist. “Language or financial issues never determine what film I want to do,” she said.

Asin Thottumkal’s back-to-back promotional campaigns for London Dreams have left her exhausted.

Resting at her home on her birthday on Monday, Asin laughed, “Actually I hadn’t slept at all that day or the night before. I had been doing back-to-back interviews non-stop for London Dreams for the last one week with just 3-4 hours of sleep. On that day there was no sleep or food at all. Anyway I’m making up for the exhausting week with the most peaceful and happy birthday of my life.”
