I am a Tamil-speaking Singaporean, currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. Recently, I have been following the news about Asin’s (the Indian film actress) visit to Sri Lanka for the shoot of her latest film ‘Ready’ and how it has angered some parties. I am also shocked to read the decision taken by Nadigar Sangam and FeTNA to ban all her future movies from being screened in South India and North America.

Ghajini Heroine Asin has made it clear loud enough that her relationship with Salman Khan is nothing more than a professional one . ”No one has access to my room,” said Asin.
Asin is desperately flaying queries from reporters about her alleged affair with Salman Khan.
”I am working with Salman in a film. Nothing more or nothing less than that.”
If rumors are to be believed then Salman has said good bye to his girl friend Katrina Kaif and is serious about his London Dreams co-star

Genelia has finally replaced Asin in the Hindi remake of Khakka Khakka, opposite John Abraham. Remember John had told the producer Vipul Shah who had made London Dreams with Asin, to replace her at the last minute. Asin had done the Telugu version of the film directed by Gautham Menon who did the original.
The Hindi remake directed by Nishikanth Kamath, will have Genelia and John together. The pair had worked together in David Dhawan’s Hook Ya Crook, which got shelved.

Asin Thottukomal has admitted that she only decided to commit to acting after starring in Ghajini.
The thriller, co-starring Aamir Khan, was the actress’s fifth Bollywood film, earning her a number of plaudits.
In an interview with SAMPURN, she said: “I think I am doing this job for my love for it and for the passion that I have for it. I think the day I’ll stop enjoying it, I’ll pack my bags.
“I haven’t really set another target or a big dream, I just want to be known as a good performer, as a talented performer.”

One of the parinda who was taking flying around the Mumbai city for it daily round just got another scoop for the day that all is not well with Asin.
Asin, who is the lead actress of Salman Khan in Anees Baazmee’s Ready is still puzzled by the behaviour of the superstar Khan during the shooting of their film.
It is informed that Asin was surprised to see that Salman was not his usual chilled out guy who plays pranks on his co-star. Despite the bond that the two actors share, Salman was hardly seen spending any time with the Asin. On top of it, he didn’t even interact with the South siren once the camera light was switched off.

I am a ardent fan of the talented award winning South Indian actress Asin, who has acted along side some big time superstar heroes of Bollywood and Kollywood. I was upset and furious to learn that certain local Indian NGOs are calling on Tamil and Hindi movie agents and theaters not to support or screen any of Asin’s movies in Malaysia.
Apparently the NGOs claimed that Asin’s recent visit to Sri Lanka for a film shooting has somewhat offended the sensitivities of the world’s Tamils. It appears that the local NGO is somewhat influenced by events in South India film world.

The lass from Kerala, Asin, sure is dedicated to her work. She has been shooting non-stop for the last two months. She shot for Ready with Salman Khan in Colombo and then travelled all over to shoot for her endorsements.
Sources inform that “Salman was impressed by her professionalism. The actress has been shooting non-stop for 22 hours almost every day. But she did not let her hectic schedule affect the unit and nor did she cause any delays. In fact, she would shoot her portions on the sets, then fly to other locations for her ad shoots and rejoin the unit in Colombo.”
The next schedule will begin soon in Bangkok and Mumbai.

After Asin’s controversial visit to Sri Lanka for the shoot of her Salman Khan starrer Ready, the actress is once again facing the camera for her Vijay starrer Kaaval Kadhal in a bungalow on ECR in Chennai on Monday.
Asin, during her Sri Lanka shoot stirred a hornet’s nest back home in Tamil Nadu when she became the first Kollywood star to visit former LTTE strongholds of northern and eastern Lanka for social and humanitarian work.
But what made Tamil film industry see red was when she took an army chopper in the company of Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa, wife of the Sri Lankan president.
