South Indian actress Asin seems to have fallen from grace in Bollywood and is looking to return to her home turf.
At one time, Salman Khan would recommend her to film producers, but now she has even missed the lead role opposite Salman in the film Bodyguard. She did bag the lead in the Tamil version of the film Kaavalan, though.
The actress, who had a second coming in Bollywood with Ghajini , must be wondering what hit her. For now, Asin has told producers down south to find good roles for her.

Recently, Asin announced loud and clear that she wasn’t doing the Hindi remake of KAKKA KAKKA. One always wondered what went wrong though, considering the fact that when producer Vipul Shah announced this film with John in the lead and Nishikant Kamat (of MUMBAI MERI JAAN) as a director, Asin’s name had made it to the top of the list as the preferred choice for the leading lady. Since the experienced actress from down South had already worked with Vipul in the past (LONDON DREAMS), it seemed like the right decision as well.

While Asin has now officially announced loud and clear that there was nothing mysterious around her exit from the Hindi remake of ‘Kakka Kakka’, controversies haven’t stopped following her. Till date, she is questioned around whether the film’s leading man John Abraham was responsible for that since he wasn’t too keen about working with her.
Laughs away Asin, “Things have to be written and spoken about; you don’t believe in all of them, right?”

Asin is back in Anurag Basu’s Silence doing the role that she had been originally signed for and then opted out of. A source from the team says, “Asin was approached by Anurag to play either of the two heroines in Silence. Asin chose to be the narrator.
Then Anurag approached Priyanka Chopra to play the second female lead as a mentally-challenged character. Priyanka agreed to do the role. The next thing we knew was that Katrina Kaif was playing the character that was offered to Asin.”

Asin seems to be keen at striking it big once again in both Kollywood and Bollywood. And for that, the actress is reportedly making sure that there are no compromises from her side.
If sources are to be believed, a song and a scene were recently shot on Asin, for ‘Kavalan’ with Vijay and for ‘Ready’ with Salman Khan respectively, and both are steamy in their own right.
“A romantic number composed by Vidyasagar was picturised in Lavasa for ‘Kavalan’ and Vijay and Asin made a perfect pair for the song. Their chemistry was rocking,” say sources in the know.

Looks like Siddique’s Kavalan, starring Vijay and Asin in the lead, is gearing up to hit the screens in December.
We hear that the lead pair is back in the city after shooting for a song in India’s first planned hill city, Lavasa, a few days ago. Situated near Pune, Lavasa is as dreamy as it can get.
A source close to the unit tells us that Kavalan is the first Tamil film to shoot in the picturesque hill station.
The source adds, “A romantic number composed by Vidyasagar was picturised in the location for about three days. Choreographer Dinesh was extremely impressed with the way Vijay and Asin have swayed to the number. Their chemistry is quite crackling. This number will definitely top the charts.”

South Indian actress Asin entered Bollywood with a bang with her first film Ghajini, co-starring Aamir Khan. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits of all time. Post Ghajini, she was seen in a dud called London Dreams opposite Salman Khan. Asin had no releases so far this year and has only one release in the next few months as she hasn’t signed any film apart from Anees Bazmee’s Ready.

Asin’s been leading a tough life of late. Ever since she visited Sri Lanka for the shoot of her film ‘Ready’ with Salman Khan, she has been receiving flak from Tamilians back home.
Various organizations across South India have been mulling over banning Asin’s movies due to hurt sentiments after her visit to the war torn island. But it seems the actress is out there to smooth ruffled features.

In Bollywood, one has to prove their talents and capabilities time and again. Actors have to better their acting skills, learn new dance forms, make sure they stay in the limelight and well get ahead in this mad rat race. It’s not that easy to bag movies with the big banners. The strugglers can vouch for this. Unless you are Shahrukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan, or a star son like Ranbir Kapoor or Abhishek Bachchan, you don’t have film-makers at your doorstep, waiting to sign you on for their next film. It is difficult to make it big in Bollywood unless you have luck on your side. Either you rise through the competition or lose your way out.

Asin whose film career is at an even pace, has no qualms in doing the most intimate scenes with her co-star Salmaan Khan for the film ‘Ready’ which is directed by Anees Bazmee. The film reportedly has all the commercial elements that are associated with a masala movie. Asin, who was once against skin show, has now yielded to the pressure of competition and is geared up to sizzle in the most intimate scenes.
