SoBo boy Neil Nitin Mukesh’s car is spotted outside Asin Thoottumkal’s surburban residence, according to a source.

Sources add that Neil and Asin have become close friends. Interestingly, both are ‘single’ and loving it. Maybe there is nothing to it, remember how Neil bonded with Deepika Padukone during the making of Lafange Parinde, and then it didn’t go any further. The pretty Asin is back in Mumbai after a lengthy spell of shooting in Bangkok for Ready.

She’s happy to be back home after so long. But she never missed Mumbai in Bangkok.

“Not that I was allowed to miss home. Salman and the crew were so much fun,” she said. “But more than that the topography in Bangkok resembled my native place Kerala so much. In fact, the greenery that I carry with me wherever I go was manifested in both the long outdoors for Ready – first Sri Lanka and then Bangkok. It was like taking my home to the shooting.”

Where India’s every heroine is dying to share the screen with southern megastar Rajinikanth, Asin Thottumkal seems to be busy making an exception.

Director K. S. Ravikumar who worked with Asin in Dasavatharam was impressed with her and sent her the script of Rana, Rajinikanth’s upcoming film.

First Asin was excited about the script and wanted to know which part she was to play. But when Ravikumar informed her that she is to pair with middle-aged Rajini, she backed off and refused the role. She was keen to play Deepika’s role with younger Rajini.

The film, which is a remake of Malayalam superhit Bodyguard, has been in news for sometime now.
