Now, its confirmed that Asin is the leading lady opposite Salman Khan in Anees Bazmi’s hit Telegu remake.

Infact Anees was extremely surprised why the media was taking Deepika’s name. The role required a chulbuli girl and Asin was the natural choice as she played a similar role in Ghajini.

Infact he had another choice which is Genelia d’Souza who is already working with him in ‘ Its my Life.

So, Deepika needs to wait as this time its Asin.

Guess who is likely to star in the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard? Well, Kollywood grapevine has it that it will be none other than Vijay and Asin who will play the roles played by Dileep and Nayanthara in the original.

Siddique, who directed the original, has been roped in to direct the Tamil version too. Vijay and Siddique had earlier worked together in the superhit film, Friends.

Raj Kiran will play the pivotal role of Asin’s father who employs Vijay as her bodyguard. Vadivelu will provide the comic relief along with M S Bhaskar, while Vidyasagar will compose the music. The first schedule of the film is likely to start from April 1 in Chennai.
