By now we have all heard about Kamal Haasan backing out of BharatBala’s Disney film 19th Step. The film has, therefore, been put on the backburner till areplacement is found. This means that Asin’s intensive kalaripayattu trainingand subsequent ligament tear were for nothing. Meanwhile, she’s using the unexpected break to catch up on her reading and put finishing touches to her new independent apartment in Mumbai. “I am also reading scripts. I really needed the rest after the gruelling training for 19th Step. But I am most excited about having my own home, which I have wanted since I was 21,” chirps Asin. She was overwhelmed by the welcome the kids of her building gave her including gifting herheart-shaped balloons, a wind chime, lucky charms and a laughing Buddha. Asin,who loves children, is now planning a sleepover with her young neighboursbesides bonding with her starry ones, Tabu and Sridevi.
